Best of CSCW2006 Awards

Jon Hindmarsh, Awards Chair

This year the conference initiated a Best of CSCW2006 awards program. The reviewing process for the conference as a whole ensures the quality of published contributions, but this program provides an opportunity to acknowledge the most outstanding contributions in two submission categories: Papers and Notes. The Papers and Notes committees nominated up to 5% of their submissions as Award Nominees. A separate awards committee will then choose a select group of these submissions - no more than 1% of the total submissions - to receive a "Best" designation. All other nominees receive honorable mention. Best Papers and Notes will be announced at the conference.
